PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chemical-transpiring apparatus which can stably transpire a chemical such as an insecticide, a sterilizer, or an insect pest repellent at an excellent effective transpiration rate from the early time over a long period, can simply be used, and has a compact product form. SOLUTION: This chemical-transpiring apparatus of an automatically winding roll screen style comprises a hollow cylinder (41) having a slit-like opening formed in the axial direction in the lower portion, a roll (42) rotatably disposed in the hollow cylinder, and a sheet-like chemical holder (45) wound on the roll and impregnated with and/or holding the transpiring chemical, wherein the lower end edge of the chemical holder has a structure projecting from the slit-like opening of the hollow cylinder. The chemical holder is obtained by impregnating a chemical holder prepared by processing fibrous raw materials composed of synthetic fibers and/or natural fibers in a density of 0.05 to 1.0 g/cm<SP>3</SP>and in a thickness of 0.02 to 1 mm, with a chemical having a vapor pressure of 1×10<SP>-6</SP>to 1×10<SP>-3</SP>mmHg at 20°C and/or holding the chemical in the chemical holder.
