PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a needle stopper of a sewing machine permitting easy adjustment of a needle position. SOLUTION: The main part of the needle stopper 10 of the sewing machine consists of a frame body part 20 formed in the shape of a cube on the whole, a spherical body 30 stored slidably inside the frame body part 20, and a sewing needle 40 held by the spherical body 30. The frame body part 20 comprises an upper frame body 21 and a lower frame body 22. The upper frame body 21 has a hemispherical recess 21a formed at substantially the center on the lower surface side to which the upper hemisphere of the spherical body 30 can be fitted. The lower frame body 22 has a hemispherical recess 22a at substantially the center on the upper surface to which the lower hemisphere of the spherical body 30 can be fitted.
