An automatic fluid soap dispensing apparatus (10) and method comprising a dispensing spout (24), housing (44) operatively connected to the dispensing spout (24) and the housing (44) adapted to removably receive and hold a fluid soap containing reservoir module (60) in communication with the dispensing spout (24). The reservoir module (60) has a central axis (64), and includes a pump mechanism (65) and delivery tube (68) mounted on the reservoir module in alignment with the central axis (64). The dispensing tube (68) is adapted to move in the dispensing spout (24) when the pump mechanism (65) is actuated.
