Currently, most personal computers are not strategically using the hard disk layout itself to increase system security. Not only is the structuring and placement of files or directories unorganize d and cluttered, critical system files are often mixed with non-critical files within the same directory. The average personal computer system can greatly benefit by implementing a clear, categorized, an d concise file organization system which dynamically controls read and write accesses. A common security concern is system, application files or registry values th at are altered for malicious purposes, or are disfigured by a viral infection. The idea is simple. Besides using security determined by user privileges, a personal computer ca n increase overall system security by creating various sub-partitions within a main partition and decisively controlling the read and write accesses for these sub-partitions.
