摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a testing device with a nearly uniform short-circuiting current even in a test piece with a different breaking time by setting, in advance, either of the initial transition reactance of a generator, a transition reactance, a synchronous reactance, a transition time constant at an initial stage of short-circuiting, and a short-circuiting transition time constant. SOLUTION: A primary side breaker 2 of a field transformer 1 is thrown to receive an external power supply and is supplied to a thyristor AC/DC converter 3. Then, a current is fed to a field coil winding 5 by closing a field breaker 4. When a current flows to the field coil winding 5, a voltage is induced at an armature coil winding 6 of the generator and a voltage is generated at an armature terminal. The voltage is stepped down to a smaller voltage by a transformer 7 (PT) for measuring instrument being connected in parallel with the armature coil winding 6 and is sent to a field control device 8. The field control device 8 detects a difference between the voltage of the generator armature sent from the PT 7 and a voltage set by a voltage regulator switch 9 and controls pulses to be sent to the gate circuit of the thyristor AD/DC converter 3 so that the generator armature voltage is equal to a set value.</p>
