Applicator has bristles (13) ranging from 5 to 13 in each bristle wreath and behind these bristle wreaths there are 14 to 32 particularly 18 to 26 bristles in axial direction of carrying sleeve. The length (l) of bristles ranges from 1.5 mm to 3 mm and bristle rings at a distance (S1) ranging from 0.6 mm to 1.5mm. The distance (S2) of bristle foot from finger wreath is from 0.2 mm to 0.5 mm. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) Procedure for the production of mascara applicators; and (B) The use of applicators for applying cosmetics.
