A hand machine tool with a motor which is held in a housing 12 and a tool 16 which can be driven by the motor and has a handle 13, 14 and a switch 17 for turning the motor on and off, and for setting different speeds thereof, can be handled in a more reliable, convenient and intuitive manner through the possibility of gradually switching the switch by the handle which can be rotated from a starting position into an end rotational position, in particular about its longitudinal axis 15. The handle may be disposed longitudinally or transversely to the feed direction of the hand machine tool. The handle may be rotationally fixed and may also be rotationally adjusted in an indexing manner by means of indexing means (figure 2, 144, 146) comprising detents. Preferably, the handle is connected to the housing via vibration-damping elements 24. |
