The heating energy used when the pulp is heated is registered, and the consumption value is used to set the water extraction operation of the thickening stage and control the consistency of the high-consistency suspension. For the hot dispersion of paper fibers, obtained from used recycled paper, a watery fiber suspension (S1) is pressed out at a thickening stage (3) e.g. a screw press or sieve belt press, into a high consistency e.g. of 15-35%. The heating energy used when the pulp is heated is registered, and the consumption value is used to set the water extraction operation of the thickening stage and control the consistency of the high-consistency suspension (S2). The heat energy consumption is determined by temperature measurements before and after the heater (12), which heats the pulp before it reaches the dispersion stage (1).</p> |
