A PTC thermistor is disclosed which comprises a conductive member with PTC characteristics, two electrodes arranged on the conductive member in different locations from each other, and a conductive adhesive for bonding the conductive member and at least one of the two electrode. The adhesive has such a characteristic that it deteriorates and thereby irreversibly increases in the electric resistance when overheated.
