Levelling cradle for supporting a flooring batten

A levelling batten support cradle 1 has a base 2 and a batten receiving region. The cradle 1 is interlockably stackable with another cradle of the same configuration. The batten receiving region may define a batten receiving channel. The channel may be defined by a plurality of legs 5 upstanding from the base. There may be at least four legs 5 defining two channels set at right angles to each other. A plurality of channels extending parallel to each other may be provided. Upper portions 6 of the legs may be interlockable with recesses in an underside of another cradle of the same configuration to allow stacking. The recesses may be within a lower portion 7 of the legs. The cradles 1 can be stacked to provide the desired height of support and spacers 9 may be positioned in the batten receiving region between the support cradle 1 and the batten to more finely adjust this height. An acoustic damping pad may be positioned beneath the support cradle.
