METHOD OF PRODUCING A PRODUCT DERIVED FROM ANIMAL BLOOD IN THE FORM OF A PACKED POWDER, PRODUCT AND CORRESPONDING USES

Preparation of an animal blood-derived product (I), as a packaged powder, involves packaging the powder then heat-treating at 30-60[deg]C for more than 24 hours. Independent claims are included for: (i) an animal blood-derived product, in powder form, packaged in a casing having a water vapor permeability of less than 3 g/m2>/day; and (ii) the use of a laminar material having a water vapor permeability of less than 3 g/m2>/day in the production of casings for powdered products derived from animal blood.
