The rotary applicator head has a rotary cylindrical head (21) enclosed within a cylinder chamber lying inside a housing (26) with an axially parallel coating gap. The feed cylinder (25) is coaxially arranged in the cylinder chamber with the cylinder annular space interrupted by the coating gap (36) whereby parallel to the coating duct lies a feed channel system (32). The cylinder annular space has a masking cylinder (27) which is rotatably arranged in the feed channel system for outlet of the liquid medium through a discharge opening (35) lying opposite to the coating gap. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) Labeling plant; and (B) Method for the laying of liquid medium.
