The device has a handle (7) to create a vertical translation movement of a control part (29) connected to a drive shaft by a connecting unit, where the drive shaft is connected to slats by a connecting rod (14) to rotate the slats. The unit has a rolling bearing (28) mounted in rotation on the part and moved freely in translation along a direction perpendicular to a rotational axle (33), in a cavity (27) formed on the shaft. An independent claim is also included for a window with orientable slats equipped of a driving device.
