The method involves applying a mortar layer on a frontage (2) along a section larger than a desired molding section. A tool is passed along the layer in support on mortar, in order to remove the excess of mortar and to form the molding. The tool has a profile complementary to that of the molding to be obtained. A float is passed in support on the mortar for polishing the mortar, before passing the tool. An independent claim is also included for a tool permitting to implement the molding forming method.
