A transmission system comprising a section for outputting a period ic clock having a predetermined period, a section for transmitting a transmission signal in synchronism with the period ic clock, and a transmission signal receiving section. The receiving section comprises a section for generating a data synchronization clock synchronized with variation in the value of extracted data based on data extracted from the transmission signal, a section for detecting a period ic phase difference, or a phase difference between the period ic clock and the data synchronization clock, a section for generating a phase variation clock varied in phase from the period ic clock based on the period ic phase difference such that a variation phase difference, i.e. the phase difference between the phase variation clock and the data synchronization clock, has a predetermined magnitude, and a section for receiving the transmission signal in synchronism with the phase variation signal, extracting data from the transmission signal and feeding the extracted data to the data synchronization clock generating section. |
