The regeneration of a particle filter in the exhaust line of an automobile vehicle downstream of an oxidation catalyst comprises the injection (E3) of hydrogen upstream of an oxidation catalyst to heat the exiting gases to a temperature (Ta) sufficient to regenerate the particle filter.
