The engine has a joint (50) with upper and lower sides to be in contact with a side (30) of a fuel injector (6) and a side (14) of a cylinder head (4) respectively. The side (14) has a relief (70) projecting from the side (14) in the direction of a body (24) of the injector and the joint and along the direction of an axis (8). The relief penetrates in a groove to form a baffle when the side (14) is in contact with the joint`s lower side. An independent claim is also included for a process for fabrication of a joint to be in contact with sides of a cylinder head and an injector of an engine.
