A method for processing and providing predicted traffic information is provided to generate predicted 2D speed information of each link based on a starting node by processing 2D speed information of each link into 3D speed information, and applying the 3D speed information of each link if a starting time and node is received. A map tile including the nodes and map tile numbers for identifying the node is generated(S100). The map tile number of each node/link is stored to a map tile database(S101). The 2D speed information collected from each link and processed by each time unit is processed into the 3D speed information, and the 3D speed information is stored to a 3D speed information database(S102). If the starting time/node is inputted, the map tile number of the starting node is read from the map tile database(S106). An absolute of a difference between the map tile number of each link and the starting node is calculated(S107). The absolute is converted into a coefficient between reference time and time increment(S108). The 3D speed information of each link is read from the 3D speed information database(S109). The predicted 2D speed information of each link is generated by applying the 3D speed information of each link(S110). |
