<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner supply means designed to reduce scattering of residual toner and prevent user's hands and so one from being soiled. <P>SOLUTION: The toner supply means comprises: a toner supply container 1 having a first toner storage section 1a for storing toner, a discharge port 1b defined in the first toner storage section 1a and used to discharge toner, and a discharge port shutter 4 for opening or closing the discharge port 1b; and a toner receiving container 5 attachable/detachable to/from the toner supply container 1 and having a second toner storage section 5a for storing toner, a supply port 5b defined in the second toner storage section 5a and used to receive toner from the discharge port 1b, and a supply port shutter 6 for opening or closing the supply port 5b.
