<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hierarchical structure information generating system which does not need to describe in a template a control statement to output a part of the template repeatedly when repetitive input of items is needed. <P>SOLUTION: As shown in B in Fig., mapping information has a substitution element description region, an occurrence number description region, and a repetitive element description region.In the substitution element description region, it describes for which value of a tag of XML documents input information corresponding to each mapping information substitutes. In the occurrence number description region, an iteration frequency of a repetitive element specified in a repetitive element designation region is described.In the repetitive element description region, a tag repeatedly output to XML documents is described. A hierarchical structure information generating system generates XML documents, based on the tag described by the repetitive element description region.
