PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic wave shielding member excellent in visibility owing to the good contrast used especially for the front of a display capable of forming the pattern of a conductive layer and a black color layer at a low cost while satisfying both of high transparency and favorable conductivity. SOLUTION: The electromagnetic wave shielding member is a structure body consisting of a conductive metal layer 3, a black color layer 2, and a transparent plastic support medium 1. A geometric configuration pattern whose opening rate is 50% or more is formed at the time of forming the conductive metal layer 3 and the black color layer 2 by a vacuum process. The vacuum process is performed by a vacuum deposition method, a sputtering method, an ion plating method or the like.
