PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a tire, improved in a grip performance and abrasion resistance in a highly well-balanced manner, and to provide the tire given by using the composition. SOLUTION: This rubber composition for the tire contains a polystyrene having an weight-average molecular weight of 320-10,000 in an amount of 5-150 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of a diene-based rubber.
