PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording disk storage container sufficiently identifiable from other articles and applicable to display or interior decoration. SOLUTION: The recording disk storage container consists of a recording disk storage container body 3 and a lid 5 attached via a hinge member 4 to an end for opening/closing an upper surface opening of the body 3. One of a bottom face plate of the container body, the lid and a panel attached to the inner wall surface of the lid is made of a light transmissive material. The recording disk storage container is constituted of a pattern 7 such as characters or pictures formed by a laser cutter on the surface and a light emitting diode lighting circuit 10 using at least one or more light emitting diode attached to the container body or the lid to permit light of the diode 9 to transmit inwardly from an end of a member formed of the light transmissive material with the pattern such as the characters or the picture formed.
