PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation atomizing type painting device in which even if a horizontal coating spraying a paint in the state that a bell head is in a lateral position is carried out, the paint does not leak outside, a paint trickle from the bell head can be prevented, and a paint leakage from the bell head does not occur. SOLUTION: The bell head 10 is provided with a cylindrical rotary cup 12 with a bottom, and an outer cylinder 13 integrally arranged to an outer peripheral portion of the rotary cup 12 at a distance from an air jet path 16, and is attached rotatably to a bell body 20. A slit portion 15a communicating with the air jet path 16 is formed over the whole circumference at a large diameter part 15 of a rotary shaft 14 which is a coupling part of the bell head 10 to the bell body 20, and the slit portion 15a is arranged adjacent to an air supply port 21a of an air supply passage 21 formed at the bell body 20 side.
