The end of the ejector retracting rod (21) carries a bush (19) with an internal ring groove (39). It fits over a connector (17) that slides over a guide rod (18) as the ejectors (13, 14a, 14b) are moved by the ejector plates (9, 10). When the ejectors have to be withdrawn at the completion of the molding cycle, radial pins engage into the groove (39) and lock into place to transmit the retracting force. The connector (17) has adjustment to give an exact positional adjustment for the concentric sleeve mechanism for the radial pins. The bush (19) is attached to the rod (21) with a removable screwed connection (22) and a bayonet coupling (41).
|
