<p>Work centre (100) able to produce floor and wall tiles with a polygonal shape (54) by repeatedly cutting strips (52) obtained from cutting a slab (50) of stone, ceramic or agglomerate material. A cutting bench (30) onto which the slab (50) is loaded comprises conveyor means (31;114) for transporting the slab (50) towards and moving the cut floor and/or wall tiles away from said work centre (100). A cutting disk (24;160) able to perform passes on the slab (50) so as to cut into strips (52) is mounted on a cutting unit (18, 20, 22;136) associated with a gripping device (26, 28;102, 104, 110, 112). The work centre (100) also comprises an auxiliary storage surface (40) for the strips (52) or has an increased width respect to the width of the slabs to be cut.</p> |
