<p>The invention discloses a candle, which includes a wax body manufactured from molten wax and provided with at least one wick and at least one chamber; and an insect repelling and/or killing preparation provided in the chamber after the molten wax has coagulated. The insect repelling and/or killing preparation includes at least one component selected from the group comprising bio-allethrin, esbiothrin, d-trans allethrin, pyrethroids and synthetic pyrethroids. The chamber is constituted by a channel running parallel to a wick and is provided in the wax body after coagulation of the molten wax. The chamber is closed off with molten wax after the insect to repelling and/or killing preparation has been provided in the chamber. The insect repelling and/or killing preparation is adapted to release fumes when the candle is lit and adapted to repel insects.</p> |
