<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve processing efficiency by reducing power consumption in a cache memory. <P>SOLUTION: An information processor 1 detects whether data supposed to be successively read are cached or not at the time of reading data to be read from a processor. When the data supposed to be successively read are stored in a cache, these data are stored in a pre-read cache part 30, and when the data supposed to be successively read are not stored in the cache, these data are read from a main memory 7 and stored in the look-ahead cache part 30.
