<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus of a lower-face exposure system, the image forming apparatus being designed in a simple configuration such that an area irradiated with light by an exposure means is prevented from being soiled with toner. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus forms an image by developing latent images formed on corresponding photoreceptor drum, with corresponding toners by corresponding developing means. The image forming apparatus includes: an exposure means disposed below the photoreceptor drums and used to expose each photoreceptor drum by scanning with light; and toner hoppers 15, each supplying the toner from the corresponding toner supply port 16 to the developing means. Supply of each toner to the corresponding developing means from the corresponding toner supply port 16 is performed outside the corresponding area 21 scanned with light by the exposure means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
