PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately correct valve opening area even if manufacturing variation or deterioration occurs. SOLUTION: If a condition where this valve opening area calculation device flow rate relies only on valve opening area is a predetermined stable condition (S2-S6) and a predetermined condition of pressure ratio (S7, namely 0.2≤pressure ratio <0.5), learning (renewal) of a correction value of valve opening area is performed. Learning of the correction quantity is performed based on the difference between the throttle valve opening area calculated based on the throttle valve opening and the throttle valve opening area calculated based on the detection value of the intake air flow rate (S8-S10).
