PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate resin film which maintains practical characteristics without losing the excellent characteristics of a biaxially oriented polyester resin film, has good twisting and antistatic properties, and is useful as a practical twist packaging film good in productivity. SOLUTION: The resin film contains polyethylene terephthalate substantially as a main component. In the biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate resin film for twist packaging, the friction coefficient of the film is 0.25-0.90, and the surface specific resistance of at least one side of the film is 1×10<SP>7</SP>(Ω/square) to 1×10<SP>14</SP>(Ω/square).
