PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a set-up program which can make setup easily and reduce setting error and to provide a recording medium and a method for setup. SOLUTION: The set-up program realizes independently each of a plurality of processing settings which are needed according to the content of a configuration, and includes a plurality of setting modules corresponding to each processing setting. The program enables the computer to function as a set-up confirmation means for making the computer to display a question display which has a plurality of question items for asking the content of a function to be used or network environment before the execution of set-up, a wizard forming means for forming a setup wizard which is made by combining a plurality of setting modules by selecting a plurality of required setting modules according to the function and network environment to be used by using each reply, and a setup execution means to perform the setting module according to the setup wizard.
