PAPER FOR COMMON USE IN COLOR INKJET RECORDING AND COLOR ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC TRANSFER

At least one surface of a raw paper comprising a pulp fiber, a filler and an internal sizing agent is coated with an aqueous solution containing at least one starch selected from among enzyme-modified rice starch, enzyme-modified wheat starch, oxidized rice starch and oxidized wheat starch. The aqueous solution has a starch content of = 5 wt.% and contains a conduction agent. The coating amount on the raw paper surface per one surface is = 0.05 g/m<SUP>2</SUP> in terms of each starch solid content and = 1 g/m<SUP>2</SUP> in terms of total starch solid content. Thus, there can be obtained a plain paper type recording paper for common use in inkjet recording system and color electrophotographic transfer system, which recording paper when used in printing according to especially a color inkjet recording system, realizes a high printing density and attains suppression of bleeding, feathering and mottling and when used in copying according to a color electrophotographic transfer system, avoids any transfer failure of toner and ensures excellent image quality.
