PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a service for transmitting necessary failure restoration information for supporting failure restoration processing treatable on a user side, and automatically fully supporting it in other cases.

SOLUTION: This server comprises a printer 13 information receiving means receiving printer state information 17 including the content of a failure caused in a printer 13 and management information 18 including unique information of the printer 13 through a network interface 21; a storage device 22 storing failure restoration information 23 for restoring failures caused in the printer 13; a failure restoration information 23 management means selecting, based on a predetermined condition contained in the state information 17 and the management information 18, failure restoration information 23 stored in the storage device 22; and an information transmitting means 33 transmitting support information 24 for displaying the selected failure restoration information 23 through the network interface 21.
