<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant monitoring system allowing efficient monitoring even by a small number of operators. <P>SOLUTION: This plant monitoring device is provided with monitoring cameras A-1 to C-8 including a fixed visual field camera and movable visual field camera. The monitoring device 11 is provided with a storage part 26 having a plurality of pieces of image group data 38A-38H serving as a combination of a plurality of visual field positions of the fixed visual field camera and the movable visual field camera. A camera control part 27 in the monitoring device 11 carries out control based on the image group data 38A-38H so that the fixed visual field camera among the monitoring cameras A-1 to C-8 photographs a monitoring object while a visual field position of the movable visual field camera is changed and the monitoring object is photographed in the changed visual field position. By a display control part 28 in the monitoring device 11, images captured by the monitoring cameras A-1 to C-8 are sequentially displayed on a screen 23 of a monitor display 21.
