PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analytical instrument, having high cost-effectiveness for ascertain the presence, or the quantity of analyzing objects in the sample. SOLUTION: This analytical instrument utilizes a sample-receiving port, and an assay cartridge which contains a rotatable rotor, including a plurality of reagent wells. Each reagent well contains a piston element for feeding reagent onto testing surface. Reference installation of the assay cartridge in this instrument is made possible so as to feed the sample and reagent to the testing surface by a specified and flexible means, thereby supplying the sample type to be analyzed with specific assay protocol.
