PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystal oscillator having an excellent phase noise characteristic by solving the problem that the phase noise characteristic of the crystal oscillator is remarkably deteriorated as compared to the absence of a buffer amplifier. SOLUTION: The crystal oscillator including a crystal resonator in an oscillation closed loop is constituted by inserting and connecting a circuit in which a primary coil of a transformer and a capacitor are connected in series to the oscillation closed loop and obtaining an oscillation output from the secondary coil of the transformer and it is also available to connect a resistor for preventing the generation of abnormal oscillation in parallel with the primary coil. Alternatively, an emitter grounding amplifier circuit or a base terminal of an emitter-follower circuit is connected to the terminal of the crystal resonator which is the side not connected to an oscillating amplifier.
