<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a differentiation promoter of blood-borne undifferentiated cells, for promoting bone neoplasticity and cartilage restoration in surgical chondroplasty. <P>SOLUTION: The differentiation promoter for blood-borne undifferentiated cells comprises, as an active ingredient, parathyroid hormone (PTH) of natural type or produced by gene engineering technique, or a PTH derivative such as a peptide obtained by substituting a part of the structural amino acids of the partial peptide of the PTH with another amino acid.
