METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR HOLDING SHEET-LIKE WORK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for holding a sheet-like work which enable the sheet-like work to be held in a wrinkle-free state on a table.

SOLUTION: A sheet-like work w in a state in which little tension is applied thereto is placed on a working table 6 (a). A holding member 61 with a face opposing the work w being protruded toward the work in a spherical shape is lowered to press the work against the working table 6 and to remove wrinkles of the work (b). While the holding member 61 is pressed, the work is sucked by the working table 6 and held (c). While the work is held, the pressure by the holding member 61 is released.
