PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display control device preventing illegal control to more enhance security thereby. SOLUTION: The display control device comprises: an image processing means for performing image processing of an input image signal; a synchronous signal processing means for measuring a horizontal synchronizing signal and a vertical synchronizing signal of the above image signal; an interface for performing communication with equipment connected externally; a control means for receiving two or more commands from the externally connected equipment through the interface; and a display means for receiving an output signal from the image processing means to form an image. The control means judges resolution of the image signal from a result of the measurement by the image processing means, and sets permission or inhibition of executing each control command with the resolution, and if the control means is set to permit the execution of the control command at the time of receiving the control command, it executes the control command, and if the control mens is set to inhibit the execution of the control command, it does not executes the control command.
