PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote the recycling of garbage or livestock dung, to reduce the amount of the food waste or livestock dung to be discarded and to utilize used half-split chopsticks effectively. SOLUTION: Porous bamboo charcoal is formed by kilning used bamboo-made half-split chopsticks at 200-900°C. A microbe having the capacity for decomposing food waste or livestock dung is enclosed in a pore part of the porous bamboo charcoal. The microbe-enclosed bamboo charcoal and chaff are mixed in food waste or livestock dung and the obtained mixture is agitated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
