PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alternator for vehicle capable of improving a cooling capability. SOLUTION: The alternator 100 is provided with a rotor 10 integrally rotating along with a rotational shaft 14, a stator 4 disposed and facing an outer circumference of the rotor 10, front and rear frames 1, 2 for accommodating the rotor 10 and the stator 4, a stay 29 for protruding toward the outer circumference side of the rear frame 2 and formed with a stay hole 290 having an internal thread 292 on an inner circumference, and a cylindrical bush 40 having an external thread 44 corresponding to the internal thread 292 on the outer circumference and mounted to the stay hole 290.
