PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of reproducing a high quality image both in the area of characters or the like, where sharpness is required and in an area of images or the like where granularity is required. SOLUTION: The image processor is provided with an image information acquisition means 110 for acquiring image information, a color information specification means 110 for specifying the color information representing colors in the image information acquired by the image information acquisition means, a features quantity extraction means 110 for extracting the features quantity of the image information acquired by the image information acquisition means 110, a color material selection means 130 for selecting a unique color material among multiple color materials having the same hue but different densities, based on the color information specified by the color information specification means 110 and the features quantity extracted by the features quantity extraction means 110, and a color conversion means 140 for executing color conversion on the image information into the selected color material.
