The adaptor device (4) comprises a coupling area (12) which is formed complementary to the specific shape of the coupling area of the battery charger. The contact arrangement formed corresponding to the battery charger carries a cable (22) with two lines (24). The lines have a terminal (26) each at their free end. The lines have a detachable connection with connector (28) of accumulators not compatible with the coupling area of the battery charger. The device also has means (30), for the input of information corresponding to the charged accumulator and a coding means by means of which the corresponding information is transferable to the battery charger.
