<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for preventing writing errors and deletion errors with respect to a nonvolatile memory at low cost without providing an external circuit, in the event that an arithmetic processing unit malfunctions, etc. <P>SOLUTION: This nonvolatile memory system includes a nonvolatile memory; a volatile memory for storing a program including operating instructions for rewriting the content of the nonvolatile memory; and an arithmetic processing unit that controls the nonvolatile memory and the volatile memory. The system includes a first invalid instruction writing means for writing, during initialization, invalid instructions in place of operating instructions at a predetermined address of the nonvolatile memory for storing operating instructions for the nonvolatile memory; a control means for writing, prior to the start of operation of the nonvolatile memory, operating instructions at a predetermined address of the volatile memory that stores the invalid instructions, and operating the nonvolatile memory according to the operating instructions; and a second invalid instruction writing means for writing the invalid instructions at a predetermined address of the volatile memory after the operation of the nonvolatile memory has been executed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
