PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage disposer for which occurrence of malfunction is suppressed. SOLUTION: A control part 17 monitors opening/closing signals D1 outputted from a first lid switch 11a detecting opening/closing of a lid, and opening/closing signals D2 outputted from a second lid switch 11b. On detecting the opening/closing signals of a given pattern corresponding to an operation of closing the lid, the control part 17 judges closing of the lid to output normal rotation indicating signals FP1, FN1, or reverse rotation indicating signals RP2, RN2.
