PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joining structure and a joining method of an aluminum pipe with a copper pipe, superior in corrosion resistance of a joining part, without generating a burr on both inner-outer peripheral surfaces of the joining part. SOLUTION: An expanded pipe part 3 is formed in a joining end part of the aluminum pipe 1, and a divergent flare part 4 having a tip inner diameter larger than an outer diameter of the copper pipe 2, is formed in an opening side end part of the expanded pipe part 3. A joining end part of the copper pipe 2 is inserted into the expanded pipe part 3 of the aluminum pipe 1. Both pipes 1 and 2 are adhered by a thermosetting adhesive layer 5 in this state. The expanded pipe part of the aluminum pipe 1 is collapsed inside over the whole periphery in at least one place. The thermosetting adhesive layer 5 exists between an inner peripheral surface of the expanded pipe part 3 of the aluminum pipe 1 and an outer peripheral surface of the copper pipe 2, and its part protrudes outside the expanded pipe part 3. An opening side end surface of the flare part 4 of the aluminum pipe 1 is covered with a protrusion part 5a of the thermosetting adhesive layer 5. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
