The bearing has an inner ring (2) and an outer ring (3) that consists of two half shells (5.1, 5.2). Spherical tires (7.1, 7.2) are supported between the inner and outer rings. Radial ends of the shells form flanges (9.1, 9.2) opposite to each other. A gap (B) is provided between the opposite flanges, where the gap is filled with an insulating material (10). A corner ring (11) firmly encloses the flanges. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing and assembling an annular ball bearing.
