<p>Disclosed is a system and method for providing a bi-directional service in realtime using a Short Message Service (SMS) between an Internet messenger and a mobile communication terminal, and more particularly to a system and method for a communication means that makes it possible to transmit and receive text messages in real time anywhere in the world, with the capability of connecting to the Internet, due to a characteristic of the mobile communication terminal that can be moved easily from place to place and a characteristic of the Internet messenger without regard to areas. The system includes an Internet messenger for transmitting a SMS to a system server by choosing a desired conversation participant of a user (e.g. a user of a mobile communication terminal) and transmitting conversation contents, the system server for transmitting the SMS to a text message transmission server by receiving the SMS from the Internet messenger, inquiring a corresponding unique code, and combining related items of the mobile communication terminal therewith, a Packet Switched Data Network (PSDN) server for receiving a message converted from the text message transmission server, the text message transmission server for transmitting the SMS to the mobile communication terminal and transmitting the transmitted state to the system server, the mobile communication terminal for transmitting the SMS to a caller's number (e.g. a virtual number of the user of the Internet messenger) according as the user composes a reply, by receiving the SMS from the text message transmission server, a SMS receiver/converter for transmitting the SMS to a SMS collector by collecting the SMS received from the mobile communication terminal in realtime, thereby making data with the collected SMS, and the SMS collector for analyzing a reception number and a transmission number of the SMS received from the SMS receiver/converter and requesting a unique code to the system server with the analyzed numbers.</p> |
