<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of controlling the superposing amount of an oscillation signal on a DC driving signal by making a power source for the DC driving signal and a power source for the oscillation signal common to suppress unnecessary radiation. <P>SOLUTION: A DC driving signal is supplied from a power source 30 to a laser diode 20 via inductors L2 and L3. An oscillation signal outputted from an oscillation circuit 12 is superposed on the DC driving signal supplied from the power source 30, so as to be supplied to the laser diode 20. Thus, a laser driving signal having the oscillation signal superposed on the DC driving signal is supplied to the laser diode 20, and the laser diode 20 is operated in a multi mode. The base current of an oscillation transistor Tr is controlled based on a control signal V<SB>ct1</SB>to change the power of the oscillation signal, and thus the superposing amount of the oscillation signal on the DC driving signal is controlled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
